WPV Podcast: From the shadows to the spotlight

The World ParaVolley history podcast is back with a new episode and more stories to share. With exactly a year before the first serve in Tokyo, World ParaVolley founding president Pieter Joon traces the history of sitting volleyball in the Paralympics over the last few decades.

Coincidentally, 2020 marks the 40th year of sitting volleyball in the Paralympic programme. From being a demonstration sport at Toronto 1976 to being a part of the programme at Arnhem 1980, sitting volleyball has now become one of the biggest and most anticipated events in the Paralympic Games.
