USA athlete Roderick Green accepts doping sanction

On 14th March 2017, the United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) announced that Mr Roderick Green of team USA has accepted a 9 months ban after having tested positive for a prohibited substance due to a contaminated oral supplement. The World ParaVolley Anti-Doping Commission has been kept informed throughout the investigation.

The substance was ostarine, which is recognised worldwide as a performance enhancing substance but not available on prescription in any country.

In concordance to USADA’s 9 months sanction, World ParaVolley recognises his period of ineligibility from all competition from 15th November 2016 (date of his positive sample collection) to 14th August 2017.
